Norma Jean Slusher Garnett, 89

Norma Jean Slusher Garnett Hoskins, 89, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. She was born in Pineville, Kentucky on April 27, 1934, the daughter of David and Addie Lawson Slusher. Norma was of the Baptist Faith. She had worked at the Bell County Clerk’s Office for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Hobert Garnett; her second husband, Curt Hoskins, Sr.; and a son, David Ray Garnett.

Norma is survived by her children, Johnny Garnett, Scotty Garnett, and Michelle Carrick; grandchildren, Danita Biliter, Jason Garnett, Jeremy Garnett, Morgan Sexton, Ryan Garnett, Dalton Rhodes, Reilly Rhodes, Peyton Rhodes, Cullen Carrick, Quinlan Carrick, and Cameron Carrick; and a host of other family and many friends.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Brooks presiding. The burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Garnett, Jeremy Garnett, Ray Garnett, Ryan Garnett, Dalton Rhodes, and Peyton Rhodes.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Family of Norma Hoskins.
