Elva Helton, 93

Elva Helton, age 93 of Stoney Fork, Kentucky, was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 30, 2024. She was born on January 22, 1931, to the late Edna Jones Helton and Carlo “Buddy” Helton.

In addition to her parents, Elva was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl Helton; son, Lehman Helton; brothers, Wayland “Fuzzy” Helton, John Helton, Bob Helton, Logan Helton, Junior Helton, and Jonas Helton; and sisters, Reva Wix, Jessie Helton, Clara Sizemore, Sylvia Collins, and Wanda Belcher.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Raymond Helton of Stoney Fork, Kentucky and Donnie Helton of Richmond, Indiana; grandchildren, Earl Helton, Larry and Cindy Helton, Michael and Kathleen Helton, Stacey and Derek Lautenback, and Kimberly and Derek Ritsman; Elva was blessed with eight great-grandchildren; special nieces, Tonya Saylor, Tina O’Daniel, and Rhonda Belcher-Blake; and a host of other friends and family who will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Don Messer and Rev. Jeremy Sanders presiding. Music will be provided by Faye Messer and JoAnn Smith. Burial will follow at the Meadow Branch Cemetery in Stoney Fork with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
